Neighbourhood Centre

Provides support for residents of our community and surrounds including: 

  • Administration services (printing, photocopying, scanning) available to the public at reasonable rates
  • Centrelink Access Point (self-service)
  • Internet cafe
  • Monthly newsletter, the ‘Rollingstone Rag’
  • Local Op Shop where there’s a large range of pre-loved goods for sale at bargain prices. Open 9 am to 3 pm Monday through Friday and 1st Saturday of each month
  • Community Bus Service – Our community bus picks up our travellers from their home in Rollingstone & Balgal Beach and all points in between, delivering folks to Willows Shopping Centre and returning people to their respective homes. A pick-up service is offered for those who would like an item delivered back to them for a nominal fee of $5.
  • Emergency relief and food hampers available
  • Hall, meeting rooms, facilities, and equipment available for hire for service providers, private occasions and community events
  • Weekly playgroup during school terms with visiting NOTCH Playgroup run by Jodie who is a qualified early childhood development facilitator
  • Various activities including exercise classes, craft, cards, line dancing and indoor bowls
  • Sports Facilities, cricket, soccer, football, basketball practice court, accessible at any time. Pace Park also features shade areas, free City Council electric BBQ and seating.
  • Fairy Garden, accessible any time. 
  • Community Cook-Up each Wednesday provides home cooked, nutritious meals at a low cost – or join us for the cook-up and take your meals home for free!
  • Community morning tea, “The Little Cup”, every Tuesday from 10-11am – everyone welcome for a free social catch-up.  Guest speakers are also welcomed. 

 

The following groups meet at the Centre:

  • Monday – line dancing (9 am), cards (12.30 pm), yoga (5 pm)
  • Tuesday – chair yoga (9 am)
  • Wednesday – indoor bowls, craft (9 am)
  • Thursday – playgroup (9.30 am), cards (9 am), gardening (5 pm monthly)
  • Sunday – church services (call the centre for times)
  • Exercise classes provided at different times
  • Townsville City Council Library Bus parks up at the Centre fortnightly

  • Full access to all facilities for people living with a disability.
  • Clean facility with scheduled weekly cleaning.
  • Ample car parking on-site.

  • Cost-saving by making your own arrangements for cleaning after your event, or ask us if we have people to assist.

Alternatively, make use of our eskies with two large 1mx50cmx50cm units available.
